The Last Night of Ramadan and Laylatul Jaiza: A Moment You Shouldn’t Miss

The Last Night of Ramadan and Laylatul Jaiza: A Moment You Shouldn’t Miss

As Ramadan gently comes to an end, homes begin to fill with preparation. Clothes are laid out, food is planned, and families look forward to the joy of Eid.

In the middle of all this, something very special is often missed. The last night of Ramadan.

Many scholars describe this night as a night of reward, a time when believers hope that everything they tried to do throughout the month is accepted by Allah. After days of fasting and nights of prayer, this moment carries a quiet significance.

Some refer to it as Laylatul Jaiza, a night when rewards are granted to those who sincerely strove during Ramadan.

It is the final opportunity to turn back to Allah before the month leaves us.

A Night That Completes the Journey

Throughout Ramadan, Muslims try to become better. They fast, pray, give charity, and make an effort to stay mindful of Allah in their daily lives.

No effort is too small. Every moment of patience, every sincere du’a, and every act of الخير is known to Allah.

The beauty of this night is that it is not hidden. Unlike Laylatul Qadr, we know when it comes. It is the night before Eid, placed right at the end of our journey as a clear chance to seek acceptance.

A Chance to Finish Beautifully

Ramadan often passes quicker than expected. Many people quietly feel they could have done more.

Maybe the Qur’an was not completed. Maybe some prayers were missed. Maybe there were moments when the heart felt distracted.

Yet Allah, in His mercy, gives one more chance.

This night allows a believer to finish with sincerity, with humility, and with hope. It is not about perfection, but about turning back with a genuine heart.

How to Spend the Last Night of Ramadan

This night is not an obligation, but it was valued deeply by those who came before us. They used it as a moment to thank Allah and to ask for acceptance.

You can make the most of it in simple and meaningful ways.

Pray a few extra rak‘ahs after Isha. Even a small effort in the quiet of the night can carry great weight.

Make du’a from your heart. Ask Allah to accept your fasting, your prayers, your Qur’an recitation, and your charity.

Seek forgiveness sincerely. Ask for a clean heart, a fresh beginning, and the strength to stay on the right path even after Ramadan ends.

Give charity if you are able. Make sure your Zakat al Fitr is given, and if possible, offer a little extra as a way of showing gratitude.

Ending Ramadan with Hope

As the excitement of Eid builds, this night invites you to pause for a moment.

It is a quiet space between effort and celebration. A time to reflect, to thank Allah, and to hope that your عبادات were accepted.

When Eid morning arrives, a believer steps forward with joy, but also with humility. There is happiness, but also a silent hope that Allah has accepted everything.

And that they were able to end Ramadan in the best way they could.
